Kate Cosette Vocals
What are Voice Lessons like with Kate Cosette Vocals?
In an online voice lesson with me, I will ask you to bring along 1 or 2 songs to sing--preferably one that shows your current vocal struggles, but it can also be something you are more comfortable with! From there, I will let you know what areas of your voice I suggest working on first. I have simple exercises for every kind of vocal technique, so whichever one we decide to work on first, we will go over and practice the exercises in the lesson. Even in a one-time lesson, you will leave with the knowledge of what you are doing well, and also with what you can begin to improve, as well as with the exercises to do so! I always make sure that every singer has a good understanding of how to do these exercises before we end each lesson, as well as a game plan for your solo practice!
How Often Are Lessons?
As often as you'd like!
I'm a big advocate on self-teaching. I taught myself how to sing from my own experimentation and thousands of hours of research on Google and YouTube. But I also wasted a lot of time practicing the correct exercises, the wrong way. Or doing the exercise right, but something I couldn't see or hear was stunting my improvement, such as mouth shape or breathing incorrectly--things I would never have noticed unless someone who understood vocals pointed it out. Which is why even though 90% of my vocal improvement was self-taught through research and experimentation, there was a vital 10% that I needed from a voice coach, whom I saw weekly for years.
I want to be here for you when you need me. If you want weekly progress feedback and help, fantastic! But if you only have one question, if something doesn't feel right, you can come to me for a one-time lesson to get it figured out, then go back to learning on your own for weeks, months or even years!
Just remember, no matter what: you will learn how to sing. Be patient with yourself, encourage yourself, never give up, and practice, practice, practice!
